Birds of Pampulha is the result of photographer Thiago Campos’ sensitive and attentive gaze upon one of Belo Horizonte’s most iconic landmarks. Over the course of many visits to Pampulha Lagoon, he documented the daily lives of dozens of bird species that inhabit or pass through the area.
The book combines stunning images with brief field notes, highlighting unique moments of bird behavior and the effects of human activity on the environment. More than just a collection of photographs, it is an invitation to contemplate wildlife and a reminder of the importance of its preservation.
